Definition
Makko-Ho is a series of specialised exercises invented by Shizuto Masunaga. These consist of a suite of stretching and limbering up movements designed to improve energy circulation (Qi) and to maintain supple joints. According to ancient Chinese philosophy, Qi is the vital energy that makes up every living body in the universe.
Qi can be material or immaterial and is manifested in different forms as defined by the theories of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements.
Makko-Ho
Special stretching movements to revitalise the organs situated on the 12 acupuncture meridian lines.
Do-In
Initiation to revitalising massage techniques which also act on the acupuncture meridian lines.
The Villa du Lac offers a session of Makko-Ho or Do-In before your seminar to optimise the energy levels of delegates and give them a recreational and effective boost – the session lasts 20 minutes.
