Essential Oils

As they are extracted only from the hearts of flowers, leaves, fruits, bark, plant seeds or roots, these highly perfumed and volatile aromatic concentrates are the most potent available.

As they are extracted by specific methods (expression or distillation in water vapour) to avoid denaturation, essential oils have up to a hundredfold concentrate of certain active ingredients.

One million jasmine flowers are needed to extract 1 litre of essential oil and 100 kilos of orange blossom are required to obtain only 100 grams of Neroli essential oil.

Each essential oil is made up hundreds of active molecules acting in synergy, their abundance giving the oil its unique character and specific properties deriving from the plant from which it was extracted: calming, toning, soothing, purifying, health-giving.

Each Decléor essential oil undergoes several quality checks including chromatography to scientifically validate the desired chemical profile.

Decléor carefully verifies the identity data of each plant to validate its botanic species, its distilled parts and the place and method of cultivation to certify its origin. Decléor also guarantees the mode of extraction used is the best suited to each species to ensure maximum preservation of its active ingredients.

Essential Oil Purity

Excellence comes from the assurance that the oils are perfectly pure (not blended), natural (not synthetic) and complete (all molecules are preserved).

 

Essential Oil Effectiveness

The distinguishing feature of an essential oil from the same plant – and this may well be invisible to the naked eye, to touch or to smell - is its grade (or content level of active ingredients) as this determines its potency, its rarity and its price. Decléor only uses the highest grade essential oils.
